Airborne Throws

There's undoubtedly something satisfying about sending your opponent flying through the air. Done properly, there's almost no effort involved.
The difficult thing about such techniques is not the throw itself, but the moment of imbalance before the throw. This moment of kuzushi -- when the opponent's balance is destroyed -- is essential for any throw. If your opponent is in balance, throwing them becomes impossible at worst, impractical at best.
Working through fundamental techniques repeatedly is essential for learning how to create kuzushi. If you can reliably create kuzushi, many techniques become possible -- not just the fancy throws.
