In the past when we’ve focused on specific ryuha for a year of training, we’ve focused on the 6 major ryuha, which has given us 2 months for each. And while 2 months seems like a long time, it actually has proven otherwise.
So now that we’re 2 years from the start of the pandemic, 2023 seems like a good time to get back into a more structured curriculum. So we’re going to focus on Gyokko ryu kosshijutsu this year, including both learning the varied techniques, but also how to apply those techniques and principles.
I think there’s more than enough to cover, especially considering how precise Gyokko ryu techniques are. I have no doubt that we’ll all be finishing 2023 in much better shape (budo-wise) than how we are now!
