Kids Classes

It’s never too early to get started in martial arts, and our kids classes are perfectly geared toward chidren 7+ years old. Siblings are welcome to take this class together.

What kid hasn’t been fascinated by the mysterious ninja of ancient Japan, or the intimidating samurai warriors who still capture the imagination? These martial arts and methods are still alive and being taught at Muzosa, where anyone can learn traditions that date back hundreds of years.

Our kids classes focus on basic Bujinkan skills. But there’s also lots of games and activities that are designed to increase their coordination, awareness, and focus. Our goal is not to only teach self defense, but also to teach the qualities we expect from martial artists: discipline, respect, and a dedication to hard work.

Your child can try the first class for free, so there’s no risk. Not only are the kids classes practical and challenging, they’re also a lot of fun!

And if you have a child who’s older than 10, we recommend our Youth Classes, where they’ll get more dedicated training.

Muzosa Kid Classes are open to all kids 7 and older. They learn real martial arts and are regularly tested on their skills. But there’s also plenty of time to play games and just run around in our enormous space with a wonderful 30’x30′ mat.

At the same time, students learn to follow directions and work in pairs and groups, while becoming more coordinated and aware of what’s going on around them. So when they decide to transition to our Youth Class, they’re well prepared for more advanced skills.
